I just found out this news and am so sad to hear about it.  I did know Cindy had cancer, through my girlfriend and hers Joyce Cartwright, whom I delivered this sad news too as she is in Bahrain.  My prayers go to Walter and the family this is a very sad time indeed.  I was a co worker of Cindys at Supply at MCAS....as my husband Bob worked there also, our deepest sympathy to all.

Cynthia and I went to Brinson Memorial School together. She was always so kind and friendly to everyone.I am thinking about all of you,especially Helen.I know this is a very difficult time. You are in my thoughts.

Cindy and I met in high school, worked together on base for awhile, and even shared some times at day care when our children were young.  I was stunned to read of Cindy's death and my heart goes out to her family.

Bud and family:  I was sorry to learn of Cindy's passing.  It has been years since I have crossed paths with her but in her teen age years that was not the case. She was always visiting next door at Aunt Eula and Uncle Glenn's & riding that horse, that she loved so well.  Kindhearted, friendly -always had a smile... Cindy was a wonderful person and will be truly missed by all. We had wonderful times together at Cherry Point and truly felt the loss when she retired. Her visits were short but so welcomed and cherished. May she rest in peace and may Walter and the family find peace knowing she is with the father and no longer suffering. We shall all miss her dearly.

My heart aches for all of Cindy's family.  As a very close neighbor to Helen, I feel like there's been a death in my own family. Her memory will live in your hearts forever! I pray that God will bring comfort to everyone. And, don't worry Cindy, I'll be sure to take good care of your Momma for you.  Blessed peace to everyone.

Your wife, mother, and grandmother was a wonderful, compassionate person that put others before herself. She had such courage and Faith that she openly shared with those around her. May you find peace in your precious memories of her and in the knowledge that you will be together again one day.

I am so sorry to learn of Cindy's death, Helen, and family.  I had been "chatting" occasionally on FB, but did not know she was as sick as she obviously was.  I remember Cindy's struggle with tuberculosis when she was a child and the times you, Norman and the boys stayed with Mama, Daddy and me in Wilson.  As difficult as that was for you, it was a lot of fun for me "babysitting"  May the Peace of Christ be with you all during this sad time and always. - Libbie Howell Toth
