Daniel Lee Kirby

Daniel Lee Kirby, 47, of Vanceboro, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

A devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Daniel was known for his strong work ethic and skilled craftsmanship as a brick mason. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing by the water, riding motorcycles, and playing his guitar.

Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Jeremy Michael Kirby and Brian Randal Kirby. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories shared with his children, Daniel "D. J." Kirby, Jr. and Amelia Grace Kirby; his parents, John and Teresa Kirby; his sister, Crystal Pierce and husband Buck; half-brothers, Johnny Kirby and Shannon Kirby; grandson, Dallas Lee Kirby; and several cherished nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Daniel’s life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home.

Daniel will be remembered for his kind heart, passion for life, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
