He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Gaskins Cowell of New Bern; one son, Jason Dallas Cowell of New York; one brother, James Michael Cowell of Pittsboro, NC; two sisters, Anne Cowell Bullard of New Bern; Brenda Ellee Temple of Virginia Beach, VA; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 2:30 pm.
