David is survived by daughter Mary Miller- Bell (Jeff) of Raleigh, North Carolina; and daughter Anne Houston (Sam) of Sebastian, Florida; grandchildren Samantha, Michael, and Kathryn: great grandchildren, Jaxson and Riley.
David was preceded in death by his wife Sue Jones Miller.
David served his country faithfully as a Ranger in the US Army with the rank Lieutenant Colonel. He later went on to become assistant principal of Olympic High School in Charlotte, NC. David was a humble, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an active member of the US Power Squadron.
