Diann married her beloved husband, Gerald Peck, in 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they built a life centered on love, partnership, and shared purpose. Diann was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, and she found her greatest joy simply being wherever Jerry was—whether on the ocean, on the farm, or in the city. Their lives were a reflection of their deep dedication to one another, working together in business and family, always embracing the values of their faith.
Professionally, Diann was a respected leader in public transportation services and played an instrumental role with the Utah Transit Authority in bringing TRAX, the light rail system, to Salt Lake City, helping shape the future of public transit in the region.
Diann had a deep love for service, and her faith. She and Jerry served a public affairs mission to the Europe West Area for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They served primarily in Rome, Italy and in Torino, Italy during the 2006 Winter Olympics. She was also a dedicated family history consultant and genealogy expert in her ward in Sandy, Utah. In 2013 she was called to serve a mission at the Genealogy Library in South Salt Lake where she found great joy in helping others connect with their ancestors.
Above all, Diann will be remembered as an outstanding parent, partner, and friend. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was predeceased by the love of her life and eternal companion, Jerry. She is survived by her four children, Darrell (Wendy) of Lutz, Florida; David (DoriAnn) of Orem, Utah; Daniel of Vancouver, Washington; Darci (Rick) of New Bern, NC.; brother Robert (Janeen); sister Christine (Craig). She was blessed during her life with 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held at Larkin Sunset Garden, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah 84092, June 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
