

Don Juan Cappo Jr., 38, died August 30, 2012, surrounded by his family in New Bern, NC. He was born on May 21, 1974 to Louise Briley Waldman and the late Don Juan Cappo Sr. He was a 1992 graduate of New Bern High School and served in the United States Air Force.
Don had a great love of music and was an accomplished musician, playing guitar and writing music and lyrics for the majority of his life. He is best known as the guitarist for the local band, Far From Nowhere, and contributed to the release of two CDs and several visits to Korea entertaining the troops of the US Military through the Army's MWR program.
One of the things that mattered most to Don was his family. He met his beloved wife, Diane, in 2008 and they were married in December 2009. Although together for only a short time, they will always share an everlasting love. He also leaves behind a beautiful and talented daughter, Kayla Cappo. His mother, Louise Briley Waldman, step-father, Michael Waldman, and sister, Lisa Green, always supported and encouraged Don in his music career and helped him learn life's lessons with love and care.
He had a great love for animals, and cherished his doggies, Bogey, Cracker Jack, Macy and Napoleon, as if they were his children.
In remembrance of Don and his love of animals, donations may be made to the Colonial Capital Humane Society at PO Box 326, New Bern, NC 28563.
A private service will be held for the family. At his request, he was cremated and will be interred at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
