Mrs. Gail and David are and will forever be my family. I met them working at Bojangles, always love, hugs, laughter, and sincerity. That's what life is all about. Gonna miss her always keeping it real and wanting me to do better.  That smile was so contagious. Gonna miss her dearly. Nothing but love.

So saddened to hear of Gail’s passing. The Edwards family has been a big part of my life from the very beginning. She was always kind and caring and I’m sure she will be greatly missed. So sorry I was unable to attend her service but I do know Heaven just received another angel. Thinking of the whole family .. my brother, Peter & I grew up with Keri & Sam in New Bern.. Ms. Gail was like a 2nd mom to us at times. The memories of Meadows St.,  the palace motel pool and the trailer in Emerald Isle.... wherever we saw her she had a heartwarming smile and was always so sweet. Please know that we send our condolences and wish we could be there with yall, but we're giving hugs from afar. May God give you strength!! 

David, Missy, Keri, Sam and all. We know she loved her family so much. We are so sad to know she is gone. We last saw her and David just before her diagnosis and they had such great plans for their future. These photos show Dale laughing after missing the garter toss, and Gail with her trademark “light up the room smile” at our wedding.  They were a precious couple and after his passing we were so happy for Gail and David. We know their life together was special and full of love.  Time and just life pulled us in different directions but we continued to have such warm thoughts of special times spent together and knowing this precious lady. Take comfort in knowing that you will see her again. And she will definitely have that beautiful, no holds barred smile beaming upon her face. Much love and prayers for all of you. She was a dear Classmate that was always smiling and making others laugh. We shared a special day, February 24th, that was our birth day. I tell my granddaughter that once we have a friend they will always be our friend. We may go years without seeing them but when we do, we just pick up where we left off. We were proud to be part of the Class of '74 and we are all proud to call her our friend. We will have a great Class Reunion in Heaven one day...love ya Gail..prayers for the family..

Cedric & I are so sad to hear of Gail's passing.  She will definitely be remembered for her bright smile and big heart.  I remember fondly  spending time together at the beach when she and David joined our family for "beach week" at the Hall Cottage.  Sending prayers of comfort for the days ahead and for His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.

Gail was always such a beautiful  person inside and out. To her husband, children, grandchildren, brother and sister, please be consoled by all of your beautiful memories of Gail. They will live forever in your hearts. My parents were friends of Gail’s and Gail and I also went to high school together, often riding to lunch together along with Susan (Statham) Outlaw and Suzie (Smith ) Williams and others. We had so much fun and I cherish those memories

I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to meet and get to know Gail back in the early 80’s, as well as all the rest of the family. She always treated me as one of the family, an Edward’s trait that was evident in all her actions. She will truly be missed and my condolences goes out to everyone affected, as I morn with you for the same reasons. I know God was ready for her, even though we may not have been ready to say goodbye. My thoughts, prayers and love goes out to all.

Gail was very special to me. Sometimes she treated me like a brother and sometimes she acted like she was my mother but she was always my great friend and I will miss her terribly. I’ll never forget her spontaneously driving over a traffic island just to get David and I some ice cream. It gives me great comfort in remembering her smile, her laugh and her warmth. 

I'm so sorry to hear about Gail.  She was a neighborhood friend and classmate. I have some very good memories of her.  I had the pleasure of seeing her when I was in New Bern about a month or so ago. She shared a story with me about my daddy that I never knew.  We both laughed and it was so good to see her.  You all are in my prayers that God will give the peace and comfort now and in the days and weeks to come. May God bless you.

Our deep and sincere condolences to Gail’s family and friends. It’s just impossible to believe that Gail has gone. We know the Lord has gained a very special Angel!
