He was the owner and operator of Jenkins Roofing and his interests included fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his son, Dorsey Lee Jenkins, Jr. of Dover; two daughters, Kimberly A. Sutton, of Dover; Teresa J. White of Kinston; one sister, Dallas Griffin of Dover and nine grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm in the Jenkins Family Cemetery, 12845 NC Hwy. 55 West in Dover, Thursday, May 17, 2012. Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 pm Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Cotten Funeral Home and other times at the home of Teresa White, 4248 Daughety White Rd., Kinston, NC.
