Douglas Glenn Williams, 61, of Benson, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his home. A graduate of East Carolina University, Doug was a gifted computer programmer, specializing in UNIX. In his spare time he enjoyed drag racing and was known as “Racing Buddy” by many of his family and friends. He loved Chevrolet Camaros and had a collection of Z28’s which brought him much joy.
Graveside funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Phillips Family Cemetery located at 1820 HWY 17, just north of Bridgeton.
He is survived by his brother, Dennis Williams and wife Cathy; his sister, Diane Phillips and husband Jerry, Sr.; and six nephews and nieces, Jerry Phillips, Jr., Katy Anderson, Brooke Williams, Kimberlie Williams, Keri Williams, and Dennis Williams, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to your favorite charity in honor of Doug.
