Drenda Faye Paul

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Past Worthy Matron for the Grantham Lodge. Drenda retired as a Police Security Officer from the NC State Port Authority in Morehead City.

She adored taking care of her grandson and watching him in karate and Scouts. Camping, fishing, dolphin watching, and being on the water were favorite pastimes; especially at Cape Lookout Lighthouse.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Smithwick Paul; her father, John R. Paul, Sr.; and her brother, John R. Paul, Jr.

Drenda is survived by EvieLu Russell of Russell's Creek, NC; grandson, Jonathan Lee Becker, Vanceboro, NC; niece, Jennifer Seha; great-niece, Callie Seha both of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Dana Paul, of New Bern and numerous cousins.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, January 26, 2020, at 3 PM with a reception to be held following the service at Cotten Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House, or ask Cotten Funeral Home about trust for Jonathan Lee Becker
