NEW BERN - Edgar Earl "Ed" Collins, 81, died May 20, 2011, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
He was a member of Pleasant Acres F.W.B. Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie W. Collins; two sons, Edward Earl Collins and Dalton Ray Collins; two daughters, Frances Collins Bell and Brenda Collins Washburn, all of New Bern; one brother, Randy Issac Collins; one sister, Beatrice Collins Swindell; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buford Lewisand the Rev. Scott Coghill officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. tonight, at the funeral home.
