Elijah Smith

Elijah Smith is the son of James and Shondora Smith, was born on November 29, 1929, in New Bern, North Carolina.

He became a member of Star Zion Missionary Baptist Church in New Bern, North Carolina. He served as an Usher and Trustee.

In his early years he was employed at Honey Cut, Frosty Morn and Food Land, which later became Pack-A- Sack and then Piggly Wiggly. He was dedicated and spent over 40 years training and teaching the Art and Craft of Master Butchery.

Elijah Smith leaves to Cherish his memories. His beloved wife Louidella Smith, his Sons Elijah Smith Jr.,Demetrius and Quamaine. His Daughters, BarbaraAnn Turnage (Husband-Bill- deceased), Sonya Brockington(Husband - Horace Sr.), Beverly Maisonet(Husband - Dennis), Connie Bell(Husband- Mancy - deceased), Luvina Mack (Husband - Gregory), Janet Bryant, Nancy Smith. Grandchildren, Lakeida Smith, Tomarey Maisonet (Wife - Diane), Marquelle Bell(Wife - Shondra), Ellis Maisonet, (Wife- Tureka), Horace Brockington,Jr. Aaron Brockington(Wife - Shanta), Julian Kidd, Monique Taylor(Husband - Brandon), Amanda Bell, Marcus Bell, Maurice Smith, James Green, Corey Green, Vondera Cofee Smith, Tammy, Lisa, Daren, Calvin and a host of great Grand kids, and great great Grand kids, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at the Cotten Chapel.
