She was the youngest daughter of the late Charlie and Annie Emory Spain of the Hobucken community in Pamlico County, NC.
Libby was a retired nurse from WakeMed, Raleigh, NC. She and her late husband of 55 years, Donald Brinson, retired to New Bern where they were active members of the Riverdale United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Toni (Dan) of Fuquay Varina, NC; son Donald Jr and grandson Donald III of New Bern; and brother Odell of Grantsboro, NC.
Her memorial service will be held at noon Friday, August 30 at Cotten Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Roach officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
