I met Diana many years ago when we worked together and lived in the same apartment complex in Herndon, Virginia. We shared so many great times together and she was always so much fun!  I am so very sorry to hear of her passing, and her mother’s as well.  On vacation one year, we drove to North Carolina to Diana’s parents’ house and stayed with them for a week. We had a great time!  Diana had a huge heart and she always made life more fun and interesting. She loved her family very much, especially her niece!  She was beautiful, talented, and a true friend. I will never forget her,  she will live in my heart for the rest of my life. I am so grateful for her friendship and love. You have my deepest sympathy. 

I am the little brother of Diana Dargon and Ethel Leibrand son Carl. these two women were the most important things in my life. Very close to both. They both were very intelligent women and kind hearted. I definitely will be missing both of them for some time to come. I know they are at peace in heaven with all my other relatives. May they rest in peace in God kingdom.

The holidays and change of seasons were always beautifully noted in Diana's world. I loved seeing what she did with her office and marveled at her creativity and style!
Diana never failed to assist her CCC colleagues, including outside of her regular office time. She quietly did her "magic" helping us all to keep calm and rely on her ability to solve any problem with kindness and professionalism. 
Diana-our BIT floor will not be the same without you and you will be missed!

I shall always remember my dear and beautiful friend Diana with a song in my soul and thankfulness in my heart.  We were friends for more than forty years.  Without exception, her kindness and compassion were always evident.  She would go the extra mile for whatever she considered a good cause.  She was an excellent listener, happily shared whatever she had,  laughed easily, and showed a genuine interest in people.  

While not a fancy cook, Diana was an excellent one, and her spaghetti sauce could rival any top chef.  People were comfortable in her presence and she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome and special.
 
Diana was neat in appearance and so was her home. She took special pride in decorating, and loved antiques. She was a fashion stylist and knew what worked well for her. Her clothing fit perfectly, and the colors and styles complimented her hair and accessories.  She knew exactly where and how to position a broach or scarf and whether to wear a belt or not wear a belt. 

Her creativity and originality extended beyond the home and personal style and taste.  She was extraordinarily talented at creating and designing cards for various occasions and remembered friends during the holidays and birthdays.  I have several cards and cherish each one.    

Diana was devoted to her mom, adored her niece Mary, grandnieces, and other family members,   and spoke admirably of friends and people with whom she worked.  She loved pets and always had at least one. She and her pets shared an emphatic and close bond.  

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal." Diana's friendship was a blessing.  I am thankful that our paths crossed and we had the opportunity to share many happy times.    

I will always appreciate and be grateful for what once was. May the goodness, kindness and humanity that was so much a part of  Diana live within those of us who knew and loved her.  


Ethel and Diana were two amazing women who brought joy to those whose lives they touched. They are both gone too soon and their passing leaves this world a bit darker. My heart goes out to their closest loved ones as they grieve this tremendous loss. Love and light.

Diana was a friend of mine and we worked together at Craven Community College.  I loved that she loved decorating her office. Everything was perfect.  I delivered something to her the other day and she shared about the barnyard and chickens on display in her office and said it reminded her of her childhood.  She decorated for every holiday Valentines, St. Patrick's day, Summer (ocean beach theme), this was her Thanksgiving fall theme. She had a lot of talent she would hand-make thank-you cards that were out of this world.  Diana's outfits were always of great taste matching with matching lip stick, earrings etc., I will truly miss her.  I know she loved her mom.

I have fond memories of when Cousin Diana would come over from Florida to Pascagoula to my Grandma’s house and visit with family. She was definitely that “cool cousin” you looked forward to seeing. I remember how joyful and spunky she was and always looked forward to the Tinkerbell make-up she would bring me. I was always so tickled she called all the gals “girlfriend”, she was so hip to me as a kid.

I’ve heard so much about Aunt Ethel from Grandma (Marie Klonoski - until her passing in 2012), from my Mother and all my aunts. Regrettably I was never able to meet her in person but I understand she was the spokesperson and mouthpiece for that branch of the family tree, she was sure to call and ask about everyone regularly and share status and pride on what her bunch was up to. 

Thoughts and prayers to all that are remembering these two beautiful ladies during this hard time of loss.

To Diana's family:
I shall miss seeing her at work and talking about her Honda.  She was a nice person and always cheerful.  I wish each of you comfort in knowing that she now with the Lord and there is not a better place to be.

Diana was always so pleasant to spend time with. Her creativity and passion for decorating her office always made me eager to see what was coming next. As a colleague, she was always ready to help. I will remember her feisty, friendly style and her laugh.

I'm grateful Diana was a colleague and friend for over 7 years. She brought joy to us all at Craven Community College every day by sharing her artistic talent, laughter, love of decorating, and sweet spirit. She will be greatly missed.

Kelly called me with the saddest news the other day, I couldn’t believe what she was calling to tell me. Your laughter and joy you brought to everyone will surely be missed. I’m so sad to hear of your moms passing also but I can understand why she couldn’t be without you.  May you both Rest In Peace and be together forever.

Diane was always full of life and laughter!  She was a friend who was loyal and light hearted. Diane was devoted to her mother and moved her entire life to show God this love.  Diane left this Earth way to soon.  I have to believe God took her to welcome her mother home which is merciful in my belief. Blessings and comfort to the family.

Ethel, I'm glad I got to talk with you Saturday before you left this world.  You were like a Mother to me.  You took care of my Dad after Tom and I were stationed in Italy.  You made sure he had a nice hot meal.  I can still hear your voice hollering "Diana".  I know you both loved each other very much and were inseparable after Diane moved there to help care for you, and you for her.  I am not surprised you left to be with her.  Ethel, I will miss you and Diane forever.  You will both always be in my heart.  I will see you both again one day.  Say hello to George for me.   

Diane and I met in 10th Grade at Havelock High School, and even though life has taken us in different directions, we have  remained best of friends throughout all these years.  We had a LOT of fun years together.  Too numerous to count.  To say I will miss her, is putting it very lightly.  Diane, I will ALWAYS remember ALL of the good times we shared.  You will remain in my heart and soul forever.  Everytime I see a dragonfly it will remind me of you.  I hope to see you in my dreams, until we meet again my friend.   I love you Diane.  BFF's Forever!
