"Skippy" Eugene W. Waters, Jr., 67, of New Bern, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home with his wife by his side. Born and raised in Norfolk, Va., Skippy was the son of the late Eugene and Priscilla Waters. He worked at PCS Phosphate for 37 years and was known for his dedication and passion for his work.
A celebration of Skippy's life will be held at 2pm Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Cotten Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends afterwards.
Skippy is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Catherine Narron Waters; two brothers, Jimmy Waters (Ann) and Brian Waters (Tammy); sister-in-law, Bonnie Green (Marty); nine nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jones County Special Olympics, 208 Bayswater Ct., New Bern, NC 28562 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
