Eva was a woman with a beautiful heart and a love for people that touched the lives of everyone around her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generous spirit, and the countless ways she made others feel loved.
For 32 years, Eva shared her life with her beloved partner, Jim Jones. Together, they built a life filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories. Eva found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including her favorite sweets and a good glass of wine. She loved Clemson football, especially weekends spent at the lake with family, cheering on the Tigers and making memories with the people she loved.
Above all, Eva loved being a mother. Her children were among her greatest blessings, and the loss of her oldest daughter, Chrystal Shivar, brought a heartbreak that words could never fully express. A mother’s love never ends, and Eva carried that love with her always.
While being a mother brought her immense joy, being a grandmama held an especially precious place in her heart. If there was anything she loved even more than being a mom, it was being a Grandmama. Her grandchildren brought her a special kind of happiness, and she treasured the love and connection she shared with them.
Eva’s life was defined by love, family, and the relationships she nurtured. Her enormous heart and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her. Though her family must now navigate life without her physical presence, the memories they shared, the traditions they carry forward, and the laughter they remember will keep her close.
Eva leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her family and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Eva is survived by her beloved partner of 32 years, Jim Jones; her children, Jamie (Marianno) Smith, Jimmy (Karen) Jones, Robyn Magnussen, John (Brittany) Jones, and Jennifer (Luiz) Montoro; her cherished grandchildren, Emmanuel, Elina, Taylor (Lauren), Zach, Alexander, Katie (Daniel), and Philip; and seven great-grandchildren.
