Geanine Kristine Baker

Geanine graduated from Elsinore High School in 2000. She gave birth to her first child, Kamille, in 2002. Through those years, she worked in the biotechnology field as a purchasing manager while working towards her business administration degree alongside being a single mother. She was loved by many, but most of all by her husband, Louis M. Baker, whom she met in the winter of 2018. Together, the two created a family, including Wesley Baker, whom she adored. Later in 2023, they welcomed Alex and Axel Baker.

Throughout her life, she showed immense kindness, strength, and determination. She continuously overcame adversities put in her way. She was warm and inviting, welcoming anyone who needed a friend. She loved being by the water, whether that be on the beach or on a boat. She also loved working in her garden. She was an amazing cook, and we often brought the family together by making love-filled meals. However, she was loving; she was incredibly headstrong and stubborn at times (something all of her children would inherit)- but that is what made her; her family wouldn’t have it any other way. Her legacy will continue to live on through her garden, her children, and the love she shared with her husband.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, North Carolina 28560, on July 31, 2026, at 12:00 pm, and a reception will follow the service.
