I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of George Benedict. He was a friend at school, in track and outside of school during the Summer too. He was a superb athlete and also a well learned sailor where we challenged each other in the CC class sailboat races. I would give him close competition at all our racing starts …… to watch him move on to a much greater lead from there on. ….He had such a big heart for others. I’ll miss him very much.

Wow, three years Dad. You’d be proud of your Grandkids; they are becoming wonderful people; working hard then travelling.  I’ll always remember the way you were.

I have many wonderful memories of George and the Benedict family from Barrett Beach. Sending my deepest condolences to Brian and the Benedict family.

So very sorry to hear of George's passing. He was a big part of my younger life at Barrett Beach and I remember him fondly. Deepest condolences to Brian and his family.

Had the privilege to be coached by him in Sayville football. Football taught me disciplines that have helped me win in life. I also work under him at Barret Beach. Got to know his Son Brian who is very friendly and kind.
