George proudly served in the US Army from 1969-1972. Following his service in the Army, George met the love of his life, Patty, on September 27, 1972. Their love blossomed quickly, especially after George bought Patty Dr. Pepper and Ho-Hos on a regular basis. George was known as "Mr. Fix-It" because of his ability to repair anything from helicopters in the Army, to electrical, plumbing, and vehicles. George was dedicated to his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Leaving behind to honor and cherish George's life, legacy, and memories are his loving wife of 51 years, Patty Woolls; children, Richard Craig Woolls (Ashley) and Stephanie L. Whitehill (Robbie); grandchildren, Raymond Whitehill, Andrew Whitehill, Camden Woolls, and Sophie Woolls; and many loving family members and close friends.
A celebration of George's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in George's honor to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at www.lbda.org
Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of George F. Woolls.
