Gladys Ames Davis

She was a member of Saint’s Delight Free Will Baptist Church and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Davis, Jr. and her son, Lynwood Earl Davis.

She is survived by five daughters, Gloria Smith of Conway, NH; Lori Ann Hale and husband Chris, Marion D. Avery and husband John, all of New Bern; Alice Marsh and husband Mike of Lexington, SC; and Becky Elias and husband John of Columbia, SC; one brother, Ronald Ames of Moultboro, NH; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of her daughter, Lori, 307 Neuse Cliff Rd. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
