Known by his family as Steven, most of his friends called him Greg or "Nubs." Growing up, Steven loved fishing, riding his BMX bike, skateboarding, and go-karting (which he never outgrew). He always loved nature and brought many snakes and snapping turtles home to his Mom. He enjoyed flying large kites which was featured in a news story in the Havelock News. Steven shared a birthday with his younger brother, Joe, who was born six years after he was, prompting Steven to jokingly say, "he stole my birthday!"
Steven was very smart, kind and laid back. Good with his hands, Steven was always tinkering, building and fixing things and was a master at repurposing things that others had thrown away. He enjoyed watching the Discovery Channel, History Channel and National Geographic, as well as cartoons like "Archer" and anime. Steven could often be found listening to his favorite bands, "In this Moment" and "Slipknot." Among his other interests, he enjoyed sport shooting (targets) and dreaming of one day owning his dream car, a Mercury Marauder. He was a picky eater but not when it came to bacon, which he often cooked in the middle of the night, waking up the whole house with its savory aroma.
Steven enjoyed spending time with his family, especially taking them out to look at Christmas lights and watch the Christmas parade. He loved taking Tiffany, his better half, out to view the night skies, enjoy the stars and capture their beauty through photography. Steven was loved by so many and will surely be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents, Tim and Jackie Eggers; fiancé, Tiffany Glass; son, Kameren Eggers; daughter, Callista Eggers; brothers, Robert Christopher Eggers and wife, Lora, and George Joseph Eggers; as well as many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
