Helen Elizabeth Price Humphrey, 88, of New Bern died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at River Point Crest Nursing Home.
She worked as a waitress for over 35 years at William's Cafe, (now The Chelsea) on the corner of Broad and Middle Street in New Bern for Mr. Tommy Leris. She was a life time member of the Moose and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in New Bern.
Helen is survived by her son, Charles P. Humphrey Sr; daughter, Rose H. Harris; two sisters, Marie P. Warren and Mary Lou P. Anderson; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and two great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Clarks United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clarks United Methodist Church Building Fund, 106 Clarks Road, New Bern, NC 28562.
