Helen J. Maynard, 88 of New Bern, died July 25, 2011 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Helen was a Librarian at the Groton Massachusetts Public Library and retired as head Librarian after 20 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert W. Maynard, one son, Michael Maynard and wife Tami of Westford, MA; two daughters, Nancy Gustin and husband Jim of Marietta, GA; Christine King and husband Michael of Alpharetta, GA; one sister, Jeanne MacGowan of S. Londonderry, VT; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved by everyone. Her kind and gentle nature will live on in our hearts.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 28, 2011 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Cotten Funeral Home.
