Herb was a 20 year U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served in Vietnam. He continued to serve his country for over 20 years in the private sector and as a federal employee in support of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Hiebert Hendrix; mother, Virginia Purvis Hendrix of Douglas, GA; son, Robert Paul Hendrix of New Bern; daughter, Jennifer Cisneros and husband Richard of Houston, TX; Sister, Glenda McDonald of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Ashley, Savannah, Avery, Katerina and Dylan. He is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Hendrix
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
