Ibrahim "Abe" Muhammad

Ibrahim Muhammad, 67, of New Bern, passed away on November 8th, 2019. Known as "Abe" to those who knew and loved him, he was a loving husband and father who would do anything for his family. He truly enjoyed his friends and co-workers and loved painting. Though his health had declined lately, even in his darkest hour he never complained.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce Muhammad; mother, Johnny L. Small; three children, Latisha Spease (Derrick), Malikah Muhammad, and Idris Muhammad (Cherri Scott); extended daughter, Nataskah McArthur; six grandchildren, Derrick Spease, Jr., Daquan Spease, Elex Vample, Angel Rosario, Malaysia Hardy, and Jibryl Muhammad; one great grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sadly, he was preceded in death by his father, Harold Lloyd and his only sibling, Johnny L. Lloyd.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all those who supported his passion for painting.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 17th at Cotten Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
