Born Sept. 19, 1924 in Lumberton, NC she was one of eight children.
After marrying Norman Angel, she went on to have six children of her of own; remarkably all girls. Isabelle was a woman of tremendous faith and belief in charitable works.
Her good deeds were often unsung as she quietly went from one person in need to another.
She was the first to extend a helping hand and to bake the best poppy seed cake in the South.
Her devotion to her church sustained her after the passing of her husband thirty years ago.
She is survived by four of her daughters, Judy, Betty Nancy and Joyce and their spouses. Isabelle is also lovingly remembered by her nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.
As a Mother she showed her love and devotion by all the things she would do for her girls. She made enormous Easter baskets, filled the living room with presents under the Christmas tree, sewed beautiful clothes, chaperoned beach trips, and was an example of quiet dignity.
She is finally where she has longed to be, at peace and at home. We will miss her but will always carry her in our hearts.
From all of our family, we wish to send gratitude and admiration to our sister Betty for the unwavering love and devotion she gave Mother in her last decade. Her selfless and constant care surrounded Mother with love until she passed on.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Cotten Funeral Home. Visitation is from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
