

"Mac" was well known for his Irish wit and storytelling. He was the son of Juanita D’Avanzo and Jim McBride, born on March 9, 1933 in Kansas City, MO. A veteran of the Korea and Vietnam, he retired from the US Army in December 1970. After retirement from the US Postal Service as a rural route carrier, moved to New Bern, North Carolina in January 1997. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was a former resident of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carol McBride and daughter, Colleen McBride of Washington, DC.
Interment will be at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his name to either the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (tobaccofreekids.org) or the American Lung Association (lung.org/donate).
