Lt. Col. James R. Osborn, 87, of New Bern, died December 3, 2012 at home.
He served our country in the U.S. Air Force for 27 years. He was a pilot and he enjoyed sailing.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Osborn, two daughters, Margery McVeigh of Greenville; Dorothy Craig of Lillington; one brother, Ronald Osborn of Charlotte; one sister, Margery Ahern of Baltimore, MD; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, December 17, 2012 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.
