James Franklin Simons, 83, of New Bern, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 29, 2023. James was born on June 7, 1940 in Pamlico County, North Carolina to the late James Wardell Simons and Georgia Smith Simons.
James loved all outdoor activities especially hunting and fishing. He had a long career as a machinist for Bosh for over 30 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 62 years Ruth Simons, son James Simons and his wife Ellie, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews from Waynesboro, Virginia.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Simons Family Cemetery on Bayleaf Road in New Bern, North Carolina. Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of James F. Simons.
