James Morris Stallings, Jr.

Preceded in death by parents, James M. Stallings Sr. and Lois Stallings; son, Christopher McCollough; brother, David Stallings; sister, Ida Mae Coeyman.

Jim and a partner developed Carolina Pines Golf and Country Club. He was president of Stallings Bros. Furniture. He was a land developer and president of Neuse Builders of New Bern. He was vice president of Registered Funds of Charlotte, N.C.; vice president of Vance Properties of Swansboro, N.C.; vice president of Neuse Point East of Havelock; and managing member of J.S. Enterprises of Swansboro, LLC.

He is survived by his wife Hester; son, James M. Stallings III and wife Mandy of Swansboro N.C.; daughter, Jenifer Utz and husband Brian of Carolina Pines; Patrick McCullough and wife Tammy of New Bern; sisters, Anna Patricia Robinson of New Bern, Lois Elizabeth Rustick and husband Eddie of Fayetteville; brother, Utley Cary Stallings and wife Carrie of Havelock; grandchildren, Darcy Welsh, Addison Utz, Aspen Stallings, Blakelyn Rowell, Brandi McCullough, Christopher McCullough and Jonathan McCullough.

The family will receive friends at Cotten Funeral Home Monday June 18, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday 1 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home, with entombment to follow at Forest Oaks Cemetery in Havelock.
