Born on December 12, 1944, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Jayne was the eldest daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Joas) Steindorf.
Jayne had a dedicated professional career, working at Pabst Blue Ribbon and later at J.C. Penney's until her retirement in 2014. Following her retirement, she relocated to Jacksonville, NC, a decision driven by her desire to be close to her beloved grandsons, Alec and Ethan Hug.
A woman of deep faith, Jayne was a devoted servant of the Lord and a committed volunteer at River of Life Church, where she contributed in many capacities and made a significant and positive impact on everyone she encountered.
Jayne was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Richard (Jessica) Hug.
She is lovingly survived by her two sons: Richard (Rachel) Hug of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Craig (Faith) Hug of Jacksonville, North Carolina. She is also survived by her bonus daughter, Sandra Riviara (Carlos) of Jacksonville, NC. She leaves behind her brother, Alan (Kathy) Steindorf of Dallas, Texas, and her sister, Sue Thompson of Mayville, Wisconsin, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
A private Family Celebration of Life will be held later this year.
