He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and he sang with the Down East Boys. He was also the owner of Atlantic Restaurant and Food Service Equipment.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Strickland Davis, his children, Brandon and Jessica Davis, his parents, Bobby and Ruby Davis, all of New Bern; two brothers, Jerry Davis of Fuquay Varina; Joe Davis and his sister, Jackie Davis, both of New Bern.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
