Joe Butler Scott Sr. (Buck), 83, of New Bern, passed away Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at his home in New Bern, NC. Buck was born in Lenior County on January 8th 1934. He was the son of Joseph Edward Scott and Sally Harrison Scott.
He is survived by his wife Jeannie Carolyn Scott, Son Joe Butler Scott Jr. & Daughter Tammy Carolyn Scott (Carl). Three grandchildren Jenna Scott, Nickolas King, and Megan King. Five sisters Josephine Moore, Frances Whitley, Geraldine Deviney (Ralph), Audrey Rose (Charles), and Linda Potter (Hal).
His funeral will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday March 28th, 2017 at Cotten Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Pollocksville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
