JoEllen Davis

Jo Ellen Davis was born June 9, 1944 in Van Wert, Ohio to Richard and Ellen Blanke. She transitioned from this life peacefully in her sleep the morning of Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the young age of 74.

Jo was a very caring person and was always willing to help whomever or wherever she could. She met and married John Davis in Ohio in 1964. After losing one child days after birth and having a healthy second child, they moved from Ohio to New Bern, North Carolina in 1982.

After losing one breast to breast cancer in 1994, she beat it and became a big supporter for Relay for Life and breast cancer research to find a cure. She also beat and survived other cancers and praised God for her healings from them.

She touched many lives throughout her lifetime and will always be remembered by her gentle and caring spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ellen Blanke, and her son, Brian Davis. She is survived by her husband, John R. Davis; her son, Philip A. Davis and wife, Tami, of New Bern, NC; her grandson, Andrew J. Davis (A.J.); and her three brothers, Ron Blanke of Phoenix, Arizona, Rick Blanke of Dayton, Ohio, and Robert Blanke (Bob) of Kettering, Ohio.
