He served his country in the United States Army and was an employee of Moen for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife Loretta Carter of Cove City; son Nelson Jarman and wife Kelli of Gloucester; daughter Denise Niner and husband Andrew of Hubert, NC; brothers David Workman of Phoenix City, AL, Robert Workman and wife Donna of Cortland, NY, Tommy Workman and wife Sharon of Wabash, IN, Roger Workman and wife Karen of Rittman, OH, and Billy Carter and wife Mary of Wabash, IN; and two grandchildren Taylar and Morgan Jarman.

Memorial service will be 7:00 pm Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel.
