He is survived by his son John Bonnell Snyder, Jr. of New Bern; his brother David Snyder of Raleigh; and his mother and father Stephen Wall and Terry Bonnell Snyder of Trent Woods.
Burial will be Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:30 am at Greenleaf Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel. The family will receive friends at their home after the service.
