He is survived by his wife, Susan Ayers Sutton; daughters, Nicole Sastry (Shyamy), Kelly Wehner (David); son, Andrew Sutton (Taylor); daughter, Elizabeth Sutton; three grandchildren, Nathan, Addie and Evan; and his beloved Sheltie, "Bailey."
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at 11am Tuesday at Cotten Funeral Chapel with a brief visitation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in John's name to Craven County Hospice, P.O.
