Joe was born in Waterbury, CT. He served his country in the United States Air force. Joe had a 30 year career with Pratt & Whitney. He enjoyed coaching his children’s’ sports teams. He was also an avid woodworker, sports enthusiast, especially his beloved NY Giants.
He is survived by his wife, Karen DaFonseca, son, Mark DaFonseca of West Granby, CT, daughters; Lori Hazzard of Ellington, CT, Cindy Amaral of Austin, TX, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in his home state of Connecticut.
