He was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcyclist and loved Nascar especially the Fords. He also loved his family, fishing, hunting, and cooking out for his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jannie Paul Wetherington and brother Larry Craig Wiggins.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Hudson Wiggins; father Luther C. Wiggins, Jr. (Herta) of Arapahoe; daughter Jessica Wiggins Vega of Clinton; sister Janette Wiggins-Ward (Tony) of Tuscarora; brother Thomas Wiggins, Sr. (Laura) of Winterville; sister Cynthia Wiggins-Preli (Dave) of Brooksville, FL; and many nieces and nephews who adored Uncle Joey.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Cotten Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Reelsboro. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, June 2 at Cotten Funeral Home.
