Joseph Anthony Zottoli

Joseph Anthony Zottoli, 22, of New Bern, went home to be with the Lord and his sweet baby Jordyn on July 27, 2026. Born on August 19, 2003, Joseph will be remembered as a beloved and cherished son, husband, father, brother, and friend—marked by a gentle strength, a generous heart, and a steady devotion to those he loved.

From the earliest days of his life, Joseph’s bright spirit was evident. A rambunctious child full of energy and always smiling, he carried a sincere and faithful love for Jesus. He memorized the Bible from a very young age, including the Lord’s Prayer before the age of two—words he said every single night. In the simple sweetness of childhood, he often asked for “Jesus Cake,” his own name for angel food cake, a memory that remains tender and enduring.

Joseph and Jonathan were not only brothers, but best friends. They did everything together, including playing PlayStation 5, sharing a bond shaped by loyalty, thoughtfulness, and the kind of companionship that is both rare and deeply meaningful.

Joseph also found joy in the outdoors, where his hard-working energy and spirited humor came alive. He enjoyed going outside and playing war with his friends, Josiah and Isaiah—coming home dirty from head to toe but having the time of their lives. Those who met Joseph truly loved him. His kind-hearted nature, honest presence, and selfless way of showing up for others left a lasting impression, and his humor had a way of bringing light to every situation. In quiet and consistent ways, he was inspirational—offering warmth, compassion, and a wisdom beyond his years.

Leaving behind to honor and cherish Joseph’s life and legacy are his loving wife, Rose Zottoli; daughter, Adalynn Rae Zottoli; parents, Todd and Christina Zottoli; brother, Jonathan Zottoli; best friend whom he loved like a brother, Josiah Bosse; grandparents, Belinda Davis and Bill and Maria Haines; uncles, John-John Zottoli, Ian Haines, and Eric Sawyer; and many other loving family members and very close friends.

Joseph is preceded in death by his daughter, Jordyn Nicole Zottoli; grandfather, John Zottoli; and his great-grandmother, Juanita Laulen.

Joseph’s life, though far too short, was filled with devotion and love—given freely, received gratefully, and remembered faithfully. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will remain a guiding comfort to all who were blessed to know him.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Cotten Funeral Home. A celebration of Joseph's life will begin at 11:00 am. Joseph will be laid to rest with Baby Jordyn at New Bern Memorial.
