Judith "Judi" Ann Cherry

Judith "Judi" Ann Cherry, age 72, of New Bern, North Carolina was called home to Heaven on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. A veteran, Judi served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a military records specialist for several years before her honorable discharge. Judi was an avid cook and enjoyed collecting cookbooks, cooking magazines, and trying new recipes. She enjoyed the beauty of flowers and took great joy in helping others. Perhaps most importantly, Judi loved and adored her family, especially her granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Earl Collison and Marilyn Bjerke Collison; as well as her son, John Christopher Jordan.

Judi is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ron Cherry; daughter, Erin Diggs (Ryan); son, Matthew Cherry; sister, Deborah Morawski; and two grandchildren, Caitlin Diggs and Karley Cherry.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Anglican Church in New Bern, NC on Sunday, November 12th at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made in Judi's memory to a charity to benefit cancer or alzheimer's research.
