Judy Sanderson Gardner Hadley, 82, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away on March 1, 2025. Born on November 16, 1942, in Richlands, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Maggie and Louis Sanderson.
Judy graduated from New Bern High School and later became the proud owner of Heaven Bound Christian Bookstore. She was deeply committed to her community, dedicating time to create mats for the homeless made from recycled grocery bags.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Robbie and Dede; sister, Catherine Bell; grandchildren, Bobbi, J.C., Laney, Robert, Hunter, and Jared; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 4-6 pm at Cotten Funeral Home. Lakeside Chapel services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 1 pm at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Judy Gardner, to the Colonial Capital Humane Society, reflecting her love for animals.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Cardinal Hospice and Riverpoint Crest Nursing Home for their compassionate care.
