Karen Berkery

Karen Berkery, 63, of Havelock, passed away on the evening of Thursday, August 25, 2016. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served as a Teacher's Assistant at Gurganus Elementary School for 19 years. Karen has always put the love of family, friends and students above all else and welcomed everyone into her home.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mike Berkery; two children, Mindy Berkery and Tim Berkery (Britney); father, Gene A. Lenk; siblings, Gene A. Lenk, Joyce Lloyd, John Lenk and Marilyn Grimm. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marvis Lenk and her daughter, Kelly Renee Berkery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to5 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Cotten Funeral Home. Funeral service and burial will be in Knox, Pennsylvania later in the week.
