Kathleen Brinson Garner (88), of New Bern, died April 29, 2012 at The Oaks At The Marshes, Skidaway Island, Savannah, GA.
She worked for Norfolk and Southern for 41 years. Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband Earl G. Garner, her parents, Samuel and Florence Brinson and four brothers, Samuel, A. Brant, Cecil and Lloyd Brinson and one sister, Iris Brinson.
She is survived by her son, Ronald E. Garner and daughter-in-law Janet Barrett Garner of Savannah, GA; one brother, Halbert F. Brinson of Asheville, NC; and two grandchildren, Thomas Christopher Garner and Sarah Ashley Garner.
Services will be held at 11:00 Monday, May 7, 2012 at Cotten Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
