Kelsey Renee Bush

Kelsey Hughes Bush was born February 28th, 1990, in Jasper, Indiana. She graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 2008 and Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics in 2014. She married Calvin Bush in 2014 at the White Chapel on Rose-Hulman Campus.

In 2016 she and Calvin moved to Mifflinburg, PA, where they purchased their first home. Kelsey was an old soul and developed a love for canning, gardening, sewing, and especially quilting. Speaking on the phone almost daily to her grandmother's, Theresa Hughes and Carolyn Tate, brought great joy to her heart. Kelsey’s joy and happiness was contagious to all those around her. Kelsey was an adored daughter and sister and the most loving and caring wife and mother.

In August 2021, she and Calvin welcomed their twin boys, CJ and Max. They were in the process of moving to New Bern to be closer to her father. Her mother, Lynn Tate Hughes, and Grandparents, Theresa and Max Hughes preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Bush, twin sons, CJ and Max Bush of New Bern, father, Reed Hughes of New Bern, and brother, Joseph Hughes of Arlington, Virginia.

The family will receive friends 1:00pm Thursday, April 20, 2023 at St. Paul Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
