I was so sad to hear about Ken's passing! I worked at the Surgery Center where he was one of the best volunteers ever! I really loved "Mr. Ken" and I wish I would have seen his obituary in the paper. I'm so sorry I missed his service. Please accept my deepest condolences and I hope you know how much he was loved by all of us who worked with him

Mr Kubik was indeed from "the greatest generation"-he was a gentle soul and a true gentlemen. One of my favorite people. The photo you have chosen is perfect-he was always smiling. God Bless you all Barbara Z

Years ago I worked with Ken in the New Bern Emergency Room. When he was there, the day always seemed a bit brighter and work was definitely easier; Ken was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. And later when I met Ken at the Tryon Palace, he was just the same, happy and helpful. Thank you Ken for providing such a beautiful example to all of us.

Our deepest sympathy from the Tryon Palace family.
