

He was born November 8, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, NY, to Emory and Mary Plunkett of Newton, NC. Kevin served in the U.S. Air Force from 1976-1980. He married the love of his life, Sheila Allen, in 1993 and they have one child, their precious son, James.
Kevin lived in Cove City and worked at the New Bern Harley Davidson shop as service manager for 21 years. He was a member of the HOG (Harley Owners Group) for over 20 years.
Kevin loved the outdoors. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle, fish, bowl, ride dirt bikes and race four wheelers.
In addition to his wife Sheila and son James, survivors include his mother and father; two brothers Patrick and David Plunkett; three sisters Margaret Lynn, Jennifer Barnhill and Shannon Deal; fourteen nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother John Plunkett and sister Mary Ellen Lowe.
A memorial service will be held on January 17, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Cotten Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Jim Pennington and Chaplain Dave Weber officiating. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm. A motorcycle tribute will line up from 12-1 at Harley Davidson of New Bern and kickstands up at 1:10 pm to proceed to Cotten Funeral Home.
