He was a 22 year Air Force veteran. Following his military retirement he worked as Station Manager for World Airways on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, and as a Contract Specialist for the U.S. Army, in Frankfurt, Germany.
Larry is survived by his wife Linda, one daughter, Ronda Roberts (Philip) of Lafayette, LA, and two sons; Larry Mangel and Steven Mangel (Annette), both of Alexandria, LA, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Abilene, KS, where he was born.
Memorial donations may be made in Larry’s honor to the American Heart Association, or the charity of one’s choice.
