Larry was born March 3, 1939, in Weehawken, NJ. In all things he showed a work ethic second to none. This carried into all facets of his life. From working at a grocery store to his career in the printing business, his hard work made him someone people respected. He made every effort to provide the best life for his children. His proudest role was that of a devoted husband. After his wife, Pam, suffered a life-altering stroke in 1999, Larry showed what unconditional love looks like, caring for her “in sickness and in health.”
His life was not all business. You could find him at the bowling alley, watching sports, or on the golf course as he unwound from his long work week. If you knew Larry, you knew to never take him too seriously and to never see if something smelled bad. If you did, you better have a napkin to wipe your nose.
Even with his busy work schedule, he made every effort to see his children participate in the things they loved. When the time came, he was a proud grandfather. His favorite activity was to play board and card games with them. This gave him the opportunity to train the next generation of Uno, War, and Rummy 500 players. All six of his great-grandchildren were lucky enough to have had the pleasure of spending time with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Anna Ferraris.
Larry will be greatly missed by his daughter Debi Ferraris-Teaton (Michael); son Glenn Ferraris (Salvatrice); daughter Jill Hedges (Sean); grandchildren Tyler, Bryan, Connor, Madison, Darian, Haigen, Finian; and six great-grandchildren.
A service for Larry will be held at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Foundation at Americanstroke.org.
