Linda Hicks

Linda was born on October 1, 1947 in Tattnall County, Georgia.

After graduating high school, she attended Marsh Draughon Business College in Atlanta. She began her career in civil service at Fort Stewart, GA, where she met Billy Hicks. After marrying, they moved to North Carolina to eventually settle in New Bern. Linda had a distinguished career at the Naval Aviation Depot at Cherry Point, retiring in 1995 after 28 years of service. In retirement she enjoyed spending time with Billy, her grandchildren and her pets.

She is predeceased by her husband, Billy Shelton Hicks. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Hicks McNeill, and grandchildren, Evan Chandler McNeill and Eddie Gawain McNeill. She is also survived by her sister, Faye (Mike) Durrence and brother Ronnie (Becky) Dasher, as well as several nieces and nephews.
